Primitive Saltbox Village Basket

A primitive folk art country scene is hand painted all around the outside of a papier mache basket with flexible plastic handles.

There are a dozen saltbox houses and a red barn in the primitive style village. A lighthouse stands on the shore of the lake where a couple of boats sail in the moonlight.

There are three horses in the barnyard, and several sheep in the fields. Colorful trees dot the landscape, and the sky is filled with stars. White fences are found throughout the village.

The interior sides of the basket have the original black and white checks, and the bottom of the interior has been painted black. The bottom of the basket is mottled country tan.
